I didn't say anything about IQ or the relative stupidity of Americans.
I would however note that there is a reason why most western liberal democracies (including Canada and the US) are designed so that some of these political debates (particularly the ones affecting basic rights of minorities or otherwise politically disempowered groups) are settled in the courts rather than the ballot box.
