If there were to be a Winter Olympics bid, I think the Saddledome would be required, failing that, it'll come down.
Once the new arena is nearing completion though bids should be made for everything under the sun. World Juniors, Memorial Cup, etc. Going alone on a World Junior tournament would be awesome.
