I remember my first real suit purchase was for my high school grad and that was a colossal failure and expense. If your body fits off the rack, go off the rack and it will save you a ton and give you a lot more choice.

Well unless you grew out of it? ordered it in an obnoxious loud colour-way?, or requested a trendy fit balloon/ultra-euro?
A proper bespoke suit, should never go out of style. I have two from Umberto's, and adore them.
