From an architecture standpoint, it's definitely not as unique. I do think it's better built (up close the Peace bridge has a lot of unsightly issues), and is nice and wide so theres plenty of room for pedestrians and bikes (Peace bridge can feel a bit narrow and crowded at times). The Peace Bridge might make a nicer postcard, but I think the St. Patrick's bridge is a better bridge for citizens.
Plus the setting of being in the East Village and St Patricks Island, and a killer of view of downtown...I'm a fan. Once this place is built out, I think it will rival, and perhaps better, Prince's Island and Eau Claire.
