I agree with going thru insurance, I'm with Jiri here. I'm hoping that even tho his insurance gives him the option there is now a record of his crappy driving on file. This will eventually bite those repeat offenders in the ass making driving more expensive for them and maybe getting them off the road entirely, and if the guy honestly did only make one little mistake its not going to end him either.
