Cheese is pretty good in the states. Not a lot of great varieties, but the Tillamook stuff from Oregon is nice.

Can't cheese pretty much last forever? I know even if it gets mold all over, you can just cut off the moldy outside and the inside is fine. They could also just dip their cheese stock in wax which would let it be stored indefinitely
