Never said anything about taking the high road. Previous trade requests show that he wanted to leave Tampa and be closer to his family. Thos was an ongoing issue. Steve Y convinced him to stay. It says he tried again to convince him to stay but Marty had made up his mind. If you've shown loyalty to someone for years and even sacrificed your own happiness to stay he probably felt a bit insulted when Steve Y snubbed him. Marty who had wanted to play closer to his family for years decide if your not going to show mutual loyalty then I'm gonna do what's best for me and my family. But yes let's continue acting like he comiitted some terrible crime against humanity and is a terrible human being. This type of thing happens every day in the real world. Get off your high horses.
