Alright guys, yet ANOTHER iTunes query on CalgaryPuck....

So half of my mp3's were stored on my old hard drive, and that hardrive has failed and is garbage. Now all those old mp3's were already added into iTunes and already on my iPod.

So with that drive gone, half the songs have a little exclamation point beside them in iTunes, meaning that it can't find the file. And so I can't play those songs when I open iTunes.
Now to my question...if I plug in my iPod will it just update normally and leave those songs be or will they get taken off the iPod as they have iTunes?

Keep in mind that I'm not erasing them out of iTunes, it simply doesn't play in iTunes beacuse it can't find the file.....so don't want to plug in my iPod in fear that half of my mp3's will just stop working in my iPod...

Help me out CP!!!
