Wouldn't be too concerned yet as this just pretty much guarantees a NHL contract for all 3 next season and kind of puts a deadline on a deal between the two sides to get done.
IF they do go to arbitration, the Flames will elect a choice of 1 or 2 year deal before arbitration begins.
Since all 3 will most likely get less than $3.5 million in award (the actual limit is $3.5 million + an increase based on how much average salary has increased the past two years), the Flames will not be able to walk away from the Arbitrator award.
They can however trade the player and as noted a 2nd buyout window will open for the Flames.
