All in all not a bad series of moves for Boston. Swapped Lucic for Beleskey and managed to pick up two firsts in that process, and finally got rid of that Savard boat anchor by swapping Smith for Hayes, who I would argue is a better fit for them anyway.
The Hamilton deal is a bit of a head scratcher of course, but it's starting to sound like that may have been out of their control anyway. Give Sweeney some credit here, he made the most out of a tough situation.
