I would be tempted to let him play out the last year of the deal and see where things are at the deadline. If he has another season where he misses a good portion he's either going to have to adjust his asking price or maybe the Flames should just move on. I can't fault the guy for exploring all his options and trying to cash in but I don't see him coming close to this season's numbers ever again and I don't believe the Flames should be paying for past performance as he's a player that is likely on the slow decline.
