This probably won't end well...
I mean you can't blame the guy for wanting to cash in for a job well done and going into the latter stages of his career...
But here's the thing - if he wants that kind of money - he's going to have to play like a man on fire for the season and leading up to the deadline. Any hitches and he can forget his freakin' 9 mil. So good luck playing that good with all of the contract nonsense in the background.
Even if he does live up to 9 mil nobody is bigger than the team (just ask the Hawks) and business is business, he'll be gone for a big return.
Overall disappointed by what I'm hearing, he's not a 9 million dollar guy.
