I use a Garmin 510 and when I upload to Garmin express it automatically updates Strava. My wife just uses her iphone and strava. We did the branchout tour, and her Strava App showed 1.5 kms longer, which is pretty close for 100km, but the app on the iphone also registered 400m more of elevation over the ride, which is pretty bad.
