I added a spoiler warning to the thread title.

I thought it was good. William Fichter (or "Bill Fichter" as he was listed in the credits for some reason) is a great addition to the cast. Last season, Scofield was largely faced off against moron prison gaurds and inmates...the Fichter character is someone that can match wits with him and that changes the dynamics of the series quite a lot.

I'm glad to see the g/f get bumped off. Frankly I don't give a rat's rear end about the conspiracy angle of the storyline. If we compare Prison Break to a similar classic show in the Fugitive - what made the Fugitive so great was the simplicity of the plot. Man accused and convicted of a crime he didn't commit and is on the run to prove his name. No government conspiracy behind it - just a one armed bad guy. Modern TV shows try to be too complex at times...in the case of Prison Break a conspiracy reaching the Presidency simply isn't necessary and takes away from the driving force of the show.

Moreover, she also had the worst line of the episode.

"Did someone commit a crime"
"Yeah. The President".

Barf. Who writes tripe like that.

All in all a good show though...but if they can narrow the focus down a little more it can be even better.
