That's what I mean. A team shouldn't be allowed to have different standards for different players re: contracts. What if we had Brad Richards on a 10 year $100 million dollar deal and Brodie on his current deal and they both get speeding tickets. The the shouldn't be allowed to void Richards contract to improve their salary cap situation and not Brodie's. I mean, this is all a terrible scenario using speeding tickets but when it comes to bad contracts that management negotiated and signed, they shouldn't be allowed to just wait and spy on the player until the he does something that can be deemed "against team policies" and void the contract. You $#%! your pants, you sit in it. If DUI is a contract-voidable offense for someone like Paul Byron it should automatically be voidable for someone like Sidney Crosby too. But have to wait and see what Mike Richards actually did.
