His first comment was that most often professional sports terminations fail to void contracts and that arbitrators take a very dim view of the attempt. He said the only successful case in MLB was where an Astros player tried to strangle the GM.
He then says he has learned of the reason for the Richards termination - he will not state it as he cannot confirm it - but he says while it is "interesting" and while it "got my attention" he does not believe it is sufficient to warrant termination.
Says the NHLPA cannot let this precedent stand. Look for a big fight from Don Fehr.
This gets curiouser and curiouser!
