Pure speculation on my part, but it would not surprise me at all if a bunch of lawyers went over that contract with a fine tooth comb, hired a PI to follow Richards around and busted him on the tiniest of''breaches''. I have no idea what that breach could even be or if that is what happened, but when millions of dollars are at stake companies will do whatever it takes to keep the business flowing.
Either way it's sketchy as hell, especially when you consider their cap problems and how the Voynov issue went down (suspension only and took months to figure out).
