We made out really well. All the players we selected sound intriguing. Obviously some have the "project" qualifier, but there is a lot of potential upside on a few of them. Without a 1st round, I like the "swing for the fences" approach. Do that often enough and you will eventually hit a homerun.
The Hamilton acquisition was awesome of course.
Perfection would have been if we still managed to draft in the 1st. Not that perfection is a realistic expectation.
At any rate, I am happy with the way the draft went. At the very worst, we got a guaranteed star defenseman.
