Pretty much. The Bruins were going to be damned if they lost Hamilton to the GM that is the reason they couldn't retain him in the first place. This no doubt throws a damper on the Oilers weekend of celebration as Hamilton was probably their anticipated big splash in addition to McDavid. Sure they got the wiz kid but their team is still a mess from the back end out.
Honestly I doubt there's any team right now that would do the Oilers any favours as 29 GM's probably were pretty ticked off when they won the lottery. I imagine the Oilers probably have to be better on any offer they make to teams as why send your asset to them if another team is offering as good a package.
