It won't change the situation that seems to happen weekly for me.
I'm doing a 115kph on deerfoot. I have been in my lane for about 2 km with no one ahead of me. I'm overtaking the two cars in the other two lanes beside me who are both doing slightly above the speed limit -- maybe about 105-110kph.
Some moron feels he has to do 130 kph and that everyone must get out of his way. The moron changes lanes and gets right behind me -- flipping headlight, riding my bumper.. Trying to urge me to go faster.
Once I pull ahead of the other cars, the moron abruptly cuts off the middle lane driver and changes lanes to pass me. The moron then cuts off the vehicle in the right hand lane to take an exit.
Maybe I should have switched lanes earlier... However,
I predict the BC legislation would just encourage the deerfoot speeders to go even faster unless a new level of speed enforcement begins.
