Hamilton has already accomplished more than Pronger at the same age and there's still more room to grow. Hamilton is arguably ahead of where Pronger was at the same age.
This also applies to the Gaudreau for Hamilton discussion. Young star winger for young star defenseman. At the time of the Shanny / Pronger trade, Shanny was highly coveted, in fact the Blues lost Scott Stevens because they signed Shanahan.

Not to pick on you here, but if points are the proof Hamilton is ahead of Pronger in his development, there's a lot of Prongers out there
