I dunno... I can see a scenario where this (trade 2 2nd rounders for Talbot) makes sense.
A: Trade 2 second ronders for Talbot
B: Trade Hiller for X
C: Later (When Gillies is NHL Ready) trade Talbot or Orto for Y
So long as X + Y exceeds the cost of Talbot then it works... bit of a gamble though.
