I haven't seen a ton of Cam Talbot but is he really worth giving up potentially multiple assets to acquire?
I really like the idea of running with Hiller and Ortio. The latter looked fantastic in all but one or two of the games he played last season.
The only way that acquiring Talbot makes sense to me is if there is a plan in place to move Hiller out and Treliving has no intention of re-signing Ramo.

I get the "soft goal" sentiment, but if you lok at a lot of fan websites, they say the exact same thing about their goalies.
I think Treliving would have wrapped up Ramo by now if it was going to happen.
Unless he has a deal in principle but doesn't want to announce it for fear of affecting a Hiller trade value.
