...we wouldn't be acquiring Talbot for what he has done, we'd be acquiring him for what Treliving/Bruke THINK he can do.
Remember, goalie is the hardest position to project.
Kipper was once upon a time a 3rd string goalie who had never been a starter. Ben Bishop, Craig Anderson...the list goes on and on.
If we go after Talbot, and pay a lot, it's because our management has scouted him and believe he is about to break out as a high-end #1 goalie.
