I'd be wary about trading next year's first just because you don't know the team will finish and don't want to move a super high pick if things go badly. But I'd do this year's first and two seconds and a good prospect in the Poirier/Klimchuk mold and perhaps Wotherspoon if they want a young d-man (although not sure that's enough).
Getting a top pairing guy who's young is the type of move you've got to be willing to pay for.
