You think they'd be asking for two vets and a couple prospects if they were? Just throwing this out there, but would a deal involving Hudler and Gio as a start on our end be considered poor asset management in your mind? Maybe I am crazy, and it would shake team chemistry, but I'd do it.

I think it would take Hamilton + to land Gio. Boston has to be in win now mode unless they're planning on moving Bergeron/Krejci/Rask etc. The core of the team is there and strong. Adding Gio for Hamilton would make them stronger right now.
For me, if Gio contract demands really are 9 mill per and they stay there you should look to move him. Unless the term is 3 years.
Hudler, I've said in other threads should be moved. Sell high. Be pro-active not reactive like we were in Iggy/Kipper times.
