That would be a brutal deal for Soderberg. He is 29, only has 2 NHL seasons, and has never topped 20 goals or 50 points.
I think I would rather pay ROR what he wants than $5 million per season for Soderberg. He's a decent player, but he is more on the level of Backlund and is already at his likely peak.
