Reading all the scouting reports on Meier and Boeser, there really isn't much difference between them. Boeser actually sounds better as there are no questions about his character and commitment.

I'm always cautious about offensive numbers from the Q. Every time I watch highlights or games from that league, it's like watching the NHL from the 80's. you have really good players dominating against really bad players and bad teams. The parody and competitiveness always looks more even in the O and W.

Boeser has an outstanding pedigree and stats. He was a top scorer in the USHL, which is a really good league and he has been a star at international tournaments.

I honestly think Meier is ranked higher because he's closer to plying in the NhL as Boeser is going to take the college route. But ceiling wise, Boeser sounds like he has the higher upside especially when people are likening him to Bossy and Hull. A few scouting services have also indicated concern over Meier's upside and think he is more of a cmplimentsry player.
All I meant by that comment was that McKenzie's list is an average from the 20 some scouts he polls. These are NHL scouts and not your average NHL fan (look at the post I quoted).

Of course there are questions as to how much information a scout would really want to give away, but the list is pretty legit. The Flames will, justified or not, receive criticism from the usual suspects if we take Boeser at 15.
