There aren't a lot of 38+ year old players in the NHL but the ones that are tend to make decent coin.

Gonchar(41) - 5

Vishnovsky(38) - 6
Other guys at 38 hovering just below 5 million a season like Doan 4.55, Boyle 4.5, and Mitchell at 4.25
