The Flames have him under contract for the coming season and it's very probable that he's going to start to decline at the expiry of the deal due to age and the fact that he hasn't exactly been a durable guy. When I see fans saying he's going to get 5 or more years in a deal I get really worried. I love the guy but I never get emotionally attached and I would think Treliving isn't either as you can't fall in love with your guys and blindly open the check book as there's a bigger picture. I think they will get a deal done and it's probably going to be somewhere in the middle of the term and money being thrown around.
