The two players are not comparable. Dubnyk getting a big contract when he was on waivers last year does not mean Schlemko will get a big contract because he was on waivers this year.
Dubnyk is getting a big contract because he was elite after his waiver situation. Schlemko was a barely competent bottom pairing defenceman. Huge difference.
