Lehner (or Lerner as autocorrect insists is his name) has been inconsistent last year, injured enough to make you wonder about durability, and a personality that at best can be viewed is fiery.
Why is Ottawa so desperate to trade a drafted and developed young goalie and keep the old injured guy + the 27 year old upstart that had a short string of brilliance but hasn't shown he can do it for a full season?
I don't get this. I would rather have Ortio + Hiller + keep our picks vs Ortio + Lehner.

I think teams are interested in Lehner BECAUSE it's Ottawa to some extent as well. Remember the Ben Bishop fiasco?
They've dealt the wrong goaltender before, who's to say they won't again? Teams that give up on young goalies are wrong just as often as they are right. For the right price (and it sounds like Murray isn't seeing his asking price being met) it's worth the gamble.
