I'd consider giving Dubnyk a 5X5 deal. That's not overly expensive and should be movable down the road if necessary. It would largely depend on whether you can move Hiller out, and really that shouldn't be a big deal if you're wanting him gone.

Dubnyk would be a legit #1 and the Flames defense is in the same ballpark as the Wild (not as good but close), rather than the gong show up north. He should have similar coverage and should be able to put up decent #'s in Calgary. He is the right age. Plus he would take the pressure off of Gillies and McDonald to rush them up the ladder.
