Allen was the asset I've had the longest in the CPHL. I've had this guy for over 6 years.
This was the original trade:

Team: Minnesota Wild
- Yandle, Keith (D) AHL
- 2011 3rd Round Draft Choice (min)

Team: New York Rangers
- Clutterbuck, Cal (RW) AHL
- Allen, Jake (G) ECHL

Not a great one from me.

Anyways here's my take.

It could end up being a great deal for the Flyers. Lord knows I've traded goalies too soon in the past (Bishop and Rinne naming two). However, goalies and their value are very tricky. Certainly having to carry 4 on my main roster really was going to be challenging in terms of being able to have enough flexibility elsewhere. Allen is the closest to being a #1, but I think he has the lowest ceiling compared to the other two guys I have. So that's in part why I dealt him instead.

I think he could still be in a situation where he splits time with Elliott next season which hurts his value.

So there is some management of risk here, while dealing from a position of depth. But if he sets the world on fire this year, it will not look great for me.

The market was surprisingly soft for these goalies. The offers I received, for the most part, not representative of the value - and I'm a little surprised teams with no long-term solution in net didn't take a more serious run (this isn't a comment towards you Simmer as your offer was competitive).

Anyways I like Pokka a lot. I drafted him and this is the second time I've traded to get him back. At least one of the 2nds should be high, and those are good chips to use elsewhere.

I think given the uncertainty on goalie value and other factors - it is pretty fair.
