Don't worry that'd never happen. If anything somewhere like McMahon would be the END place for a large parade that catered to the hundreds of thousands of Calgarians ready to celebrate anywhere, anytime.
But more likely they'd probably have a typical parade route downtown that would maybe end at Olympic Plaza or somewhere like that for a speech. So I'm guessing like 3 - 400k along the route and then they've cram as many people into Olympic Plaza as they could (even shutting down the streets around it) to get like 40 - 50k in to see the speech. (In 04, they only got like 30k in there, but I believe that's because they didn't shut down the streets behind and beside it which should allow for another 10- 20 k fans even if they're way away from the stage).
Nobody should worry about Polak's assertion, it's just completely and utterly wrong, and not even in the realm of reality.
