^ Not a remaster, but a remake. How much will change from the original to the new is going to result in more arguments than the question of why VI is the best game in the series and why the fans of VII are wrong.

XI is an onlne only MMO that was quite successful.
XII was a PS2 single player game in the main series.
The first iteration of XIV was the "online only flop", and it was terrible. Square basically rebuilt the game from the ground up, and the 2.0 release of it has been a massive success.
