Hiller wasn't started in the 2nd round, showing to some extent the team doesn't trust him. Ramo is a UFA. Ortio is unknown.
Shopping for a goalie shows this team isn't content with a 1 year playoff run and going back into a full rebuild where you can wait 3 years and see what goalies you have.

Talbot doesn't seem to be any less of a stopgap than somebody like Ramo.
Fewer games. Not much younger. UFA next season.
