I am wondering if you guys can recommend some nice picnic sites in Calgary.

Also, Do I need to book the picnic tables ? I was thinking of doing a get together on river side at Shouldice park on one of the weekends. Around 20-25 people.

Do I need to book those sites. I checked city of calgary page, it says I have to pay 61$ for using it ? Cant I just take few stoves and use them..Do I still have to pay even if I use my own stoves and one of their tables ?
