What do you guys think it would take to aquire another top 20 pick.

This draft seems to drop off a lot after that.

I'd like us to be able to get 2 first round talents from this draft.

Would a deal like Backlund for a 1st piss everyone off?
How about Wideman+ for a 1st.
Maybe even package a few prospects, one or two of Reinhart, Jooris, Granlund etc with a 2nd to move up.

I can forsee a lot of good players being available past 15 and the flames having a headache over who to chose. I'm sure they can get 2 from their top 10 list in the top 20.

Perhaps package 2 2nds + a meh prospect to move up into the 1st.

Am I undervaluing the top 20 picks or overreacting to the quality drop off after 20.

Seems like we could grab 2 top defencemen like Roy and Zboril, or Barzal and Konecny, or Svechnikov and Melonche, etc etc depending on whats there when we draft.

Would you guys prefer that to taking lets say Zboril at 15 and then using our 3 2nd round picks to find good value or walking away with two of the highest ceiling players in the 1st round that your scouts like.

Im undecided. I think there is value in the 2nd round but there is also a noticeable drop off after the ErikssonEk, White, Harkins, Carlo types who I think will all go top 20. Then you get into some late 1st rounders who seem like they could even be available in the 2nd round.

This seems like a very top heavy draft from my moderate knowledge of the CHL.
