Although Chicago will take some hits this summer, I think the point is that they can keep a large portion of their core, and will not likely lose Seabrook. When you start with Toews, Kane, Hossa, Saad, Keith, Seabrook and Hjarlmarsson, you are filling out the bottom half. Not ideal with the money they have, but it isn't like they need to try and land a Kessel or another expensive part. They may value those on ELC's and are otherwise cheaper, like a Granlund, but at least those guys will only be looked upon to fill out the bottom 6F or 2D.

I still think one big contract needs to come off over and above Bickell and Sharp. I'm thinking Crawford
