The thing that really stands out to me is his avoiding contact after he releases the puck. Theres almost always a defenceman sick of all his moves and closing in on him to give him a big hit as soon as he lets go of the puck and as soon as he passes it - he spins or moves out of the way. He doesnt watch his passes. He literally switches from passing to avoiding a hit as soon as the puck is off his stick. Its amazing to see what almost 2 decades of playing bigger opponents can do and how he has adapted his game very very well. Also nobody wants to play him closely or try and cut his ice off and check him. They seem to all want to just give him his space and backpedal, even some top quality d-men in the nhl have been scared off by his speed and hands and it gives him the perfect time to show his biggest weapon imo - his vision.
