That's exactly how I felt, especially when the kid ripped open the curtains when they first checked into their hotel room. Totally got to me.

I went in with mediocre expectations, and was quite pleasantly surprised. I was even impressed with how they managed to keep down the over the top cheese I kept expecting to appear for most of the movie.

This finally disappeared for me when the Raptor Squad started communicating and siding with the I-Rex (I thought she was socially handicapped due to an isolated upbringing, so despite being part raptor, how did she bond with them so fast??), which unfortunately continued the final 20min or so.

The T-Rex and Blue teaming up together, and then later the masosaur coming out of nowhere to finish off the I-Rex, was ridiculous and kinda disappointing. The end battle scene almost felt like an Avengers impersonation in terms of getting all the most popular JP dino breeds together in a big, battle royale. I was happy they had the foresight to include the T-Rex at the climax of the movie though

But despite when that over the top cheese inevitably came the final 20-30min, I still enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would, as a huge fan of the original. I really enjoyed all the references to Jurassic Park too. Someone who clearly wasn't a big original JP fan told me there were no cameos from the original, so I was pleasantly surprised to see Wu back in there.

I'd certainly rank it above Lost World and JP3, it's the first movie in about 2 years I'm planning on seeing again in theatres. I had the original JP theme stuck in my head the rest of the day after seeing it yesterday afternoon.
