I of course put a rider on people with actual mental illnesses, but I don't believe that everyone that commits crimes are mentally ill, I believe that they are selfish, greedy people, but they mad a choice.
There is very little justification for criminal activity in my mind, and if your going to make that call, then I hope, wish that the justice system would come down on you full force.

I think you would like this saying, "You are what you allow yourself to become." Came from a prof I had, at first I tried to refute that statement but realized it was just semantics. Its an over simplification, but rings true. I like to add, "even if you don't know it." to the end, makes it a truly insidious statement.
Working in an anti hate crime unit is a proud calling, we are poorer for his loss.
