What's the point? I'd rather see how Klimchuk turns out.

Your scenario is "giving Poirier time to develop" but you could easily look at it the other way, that having an older established player could take up a valuable roster spot for two years that would otherwise have been helpful for a young player. We already have too many roster players and many young players pushing for spots.

Listen I get what you're saying and I like Sharp but we're still in "picks and prospects" accumulation mode. We shouldn't be giving them away for players well into their 30s, who will probably walk as UFAs in 2 years.
