Either the Flames sign Gaudreau and Monahan to 2-3 year bridge deals for $4.75-5 million AAV, followed by a 5-6 year follow up contract for $7M+, or we sign them long term for around $6M.
If we do go the bridge route, the Flames will be paying a lot of money the season after Kent's predictions.
So yes, I do think Kent was quite conservative in his estimations. Particularly for Giordano. Though again, term is the the question.
