I don't really mind Skinner being small, since he'd probably eventually replace Hudler on the top line. He also isn't as injury prone as many are making him out to be. However, if we were to spend a lot of assets to get a good young player, I would rather us for for a defenseman than someone like Skinner.
Unfortunately, there are not/never are good young defensemen that are available. Since our top 4 is decent as it is, it may be smart to get a blue-chip young defenseman and develop them into the top 4 ourselves.
