Just my two cents:
From the perspective of a lender:
Traditionally we see Oilfield personnel purchasing fancy personal use rv's/trailers and are able to amortize them over crazy terms when things are going good.
While this keeps payments low, it also results in being underwater on them after the first year.
When the going gets tough, these are the first items that people try to shed.
We have tons of people try to "turn over the keys" which obviously isn't an option.
IMO a person could find a heck of a deal if you want to spend some time gauging the desperation level of people selling on Kijiji.
You'll just have to determine if that puts you in a moral quandary or not.
Again, just my opinion, but I have a feeling you might find a better deal looking outside of the Calgary market.
