Generally I'd guess people looking to sell would want to do it in the spring, as that's when people are shopping however, some users might be glad to not pay the storage costs all winter for something they have no intention of keeping.

We bought our current one in the spring and I think got a great deal on it because the seller was moving. Looking at comparables (as we'd sell ours) we'd likely be able to break even or make money on the unit. When purchasing we showed up with cash and bought it the same day the guy listed it.

What about dealers? Are they under any incentive to ditch their inventory in the fall? Would be looking at a 26-30+ foot unit, 2012 - 2014 around $15 - $20k. Would have to be an upgrade (interior/layout) on what we currently have. I've seen a year or two newer models that are EXACTLY the same as mine and priced at $16 or $17k, which seems stupid, not to list for that much, but for me to upgrade for a 1-3 year new model and have the exact same trailer.

Any updates from Pylon on how the market is doing?
If oil stays low, I'd look at the used market as people will likely be unloading their toys to pay their mortgage.

*just re-read your post again. Given that you have a trailer to sell as well, I'm not sure any waiting would benefit you much*
