You're totally right - Burris was almost sacked when he threw that ball. But he didn't 'throw it away' - by that I meant making a bad throw. That throw was right on the money - right in Rambo's face. He just dropped it, plain and simple.
I thought that throw, although in desperation, wasn't a poor play - unlike some of Hank's previous decisions in other games.
