I would agree with this. It gives a management team a chance to establish a rapport with the McDavid camp. When the oilers come into your building, it give you a chance to say hi and talk about how things are going and go back to the initial connection. Then years laters, when there is a chance the McDavid is looking for a change of scenery, your team has established a good relationship with him. I would hope the Flames are interviewing all the top candidates and selling the Flames as a good destination.
